Barr scores record 94 points (1992) Camden
High's Greg Barr broke a 32-year old New Jersey record last night, scroing
94 points as the Panthers buried host Highland 161-73, in a Olympic cinference
American basketball game. Camden's point total also broke a South Jersey
reord. The previous state recotd for points on one game by a player was
84. It was set by Moorestown's Eddie Douglas in 1959 and tied by Perth
Amboy's Brian Taylor in 1969. Barr, a 6-foot-2 senior foward, also became
the second South Jersey player from a school in the NJSIAA to score 1,000
points in a season. The first was Camden's Kevin Walls, who scored 1,182
in 1984 Barr was playing his final game because Camden had been suspended
from  the state tournament because of a fight among spectators at
last year's state semifinal against Trenton. He finished the season with
1,077 points in 26 games
